The hallmark exotic aromas are present together with a plethora of typical Chablis aromas. There is excellent size, weight and volume to the solid well-concentrated flavors that coat the palate with dry extract that serves to help buffer the moderately firm acid spine on the citrusy, mineral-inflected and notably dry finish. This should be excellent as all of the requisite elements are present for it to do so. - Allen Meadows, Burghound
The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu has a Zen-like, cold slate and Alpine stream scented bouquet that is well defined, but perhaps the most uncompromising of all William Fevre's 2014s. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly herbaceous/grassy edge on the entry, verging on fresh asparagus. There is a pleasant reduction here, slightly disjointed compared to other 2014s; it will benefit from 2-3 years in bottle to really gain cohesion. But the spiciness on the aftertaste is very promising. - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
Pale, bright yellow. Spicy aromas of white flowers, menthol and white pepper. Tactile, dusty, fresh and tightly wound; showing more spice character than fruit today. Most impressive now on the slowly rising, saline, very subtle finish. Classically dry and precise for this cuvéeand very long on the aftertaste.- Stephan Tanzer, Vinous Media
