#1 GVWM Staff Favorite 2024 - Hannah G.
It sounds corny, but this really tastes of an abundance of sunshine, with super-ripe pineapple character. That’s beautifully supported by the mineral acidity, which keeps this as straight as a laser beam. Very polished finish that’s incredibly bright. First vintage of this wine! From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold. –James Suckling
This creamy wine seduces with an opulent mix of apricot, honeyed almond, baked apple and beeswax. Lush yet vibrant, with ample spice--cardamom, allspice and ginger--and saline-laced acidity driving the long, mouthwatering close. Drink now through 2035.—K.B., Wine Spectator
This is the first vintage from this new 'terroir' in Zind-Humbrecht’s galaxy, bought in 2010 and replanted in 2013. The wine possesses a sumptuous bouquet with white fruit, lemon, and some background spices. The freshness is superb with aeration and offers menthol, almost minty touches. The palate is slightly austere, with a beautiful bitterness, depth, power, and some tannic finish. For a first vintage, it’s a success. Hide bottles for at least 4-5 years. It should see its 20th birthday in fine form. Drinking Window 2025 - 2045 - YC, Decanter
