More intense than the Perrières tout court – but also likely to be a lot more expensive (judging by market prices for earlier vintages). Good stuff though.-Jancis Robinson
Grivault owns the largest portion of Meursault Perrieres – 2.54 hectares total. The Grivault wines are regular medal winners and frequently earn the coveted “Tasteviné” designation from the Chevaliers du Tastevin. Michel Bardet, the grandson of Albert Grivault, manages the domaine today. After Albert Grivault passed, the wines were predominantly sold to negociants through métayage (lease) arrangements until Michel Bardet resumed domaine bottling in the 1970s and 1980s. A client from those métayage days, Lalou Bize-Leroy, continues to buy Perrieres from Grivault.
