The 2017 Fixin Les Arvelets 1er Cru comes from almost a hectare of vine that is being partially replanted at the moment. The bouquet was reduced at the time of my visit and thus difficult to read. The palate feels quite masculine and structured, but very fresh and slightly confit toward the latter half, with veins of blood orange. I suspect that this will require three years in bottle to fully meld together, but there is clearly great potential. Neal Martin – Vinous media
The 2017 Fixin 1er Cru Les Arvelets exhibits lovely aromas of sweet berries, spicy forest floor and grilled game, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny palate, its sinewy tannins cloaked in fleshy fruit, balanced by juicy acids. This is an utterly charming Arvelets that will be hard to resist on release. WK – The Wine Advocate
