A lush, harmonious version, featuring aromas and flavors of white flowers, lemon curd, peach and vanilla. The good cut meshes well with the texture, while the finish evokes Key lime pie. Drink now through 2027. 100 cases imported. BS.-
Tasting note: A wonderfully expressive and aromatically dense nose features notes of petrol, white and yellow orchard fruit and in particular apple and apricot. There is excellent volume to the seductively textured medium weight flavors that exude plenty of minerality that adds lift to the succulent, balanced and impressively persistent bitter lemon-tinged finish that goes on and on. Good stuff. Allen Meadows – Burghound
The 2014 Chassagne Montrachet 1Er Cru les Caillerets has a tightly wound bouquet that opens with aeration, hints of oyster shell infusing the mineral scents, later white peach and orange sorbet. The palate is fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, similar weight to the Morgeot but with a touch of delineation on the finish. This is elegant and refined. Neal Martin – The Wine Advocate
