A sleek, intense red, with a lively undercurrent to the black cherry and blackberry flavors, featuring violet, mineral and spice accents that add depth and complexity. Balanced and vibrant, with a terrific aftertaste of the fruit, mineral and spice elements. Best from 2026 through 2043. —Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator
One single 350 litre barrel, not new. Powerful purple, not as black as the Pommard Grands Epenots. Rich ripe fruit, still retaining balance. The same valuable freshness that has helped many 2020s at the finish, behind a deep raspberry fruit. Good length, well balanced, a powerful wine which will stay in a recognisable register. Tasted: October 2021—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Tasting note: Moderate wood influence is present on the ripe aromas of both red and black currant, spice, floral and vague sauvage hints. There is outstanding size, weight and volume to the caressing but overtly powerful and muscular big-bodied flavors that coat the palate while delivering first-rate depth and persistence on the firmly structured finale. This is very Corton in style but with the touch of refinement that is Bressandes. Sweet Spot. Allen Meadows, Burghound
