The 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1Er Cru les Gruenchers comes from almost 30-year-old vines. It has a well defined if not complex bouquet, unfurling with black cherry and wild strawberry scents. The palate is nicely balanced with fine tannin, the oak nicely integrated and framing some very attractive sappy black fruit on the finish that exerts a gentle grip. Very fine.
