From a very good vintage in Sauternes comes this exotic Yquem, packed with amazing orange marmalade and dried apricot flavors.--Yquem vertical.-Wine Spectator

Honey, burnt orange sugar, apricots, pineapples, vanilla and crème brulee soar from the glass. But, this wine is not produced in the style of modern Yquems. This does not have the nearly the same level of sweetness or viscosity found in the best vintages of the 80’s and 90’s. Transparent tawny. Very rich and gorgeous. Round and quite reminiscent of the 1948 but if anything a little rounder and richer. Long and satisfying. Maybe sleeker than the 1948. Some raisins macerated in oak?-Jancis Robinson
