88-90 BH / 88-90 JM
Note: from Le Clos, Les Herbues and En Olivier
Producer note: Jean-Nicolas Méo stresses that for his négoce wines he does everything as though these were domaine wines, which is to say all of the vineyard work and harvesting plus of course the vinification and élevage duties
Tasting note: An exuberantly fresh and bright nose is comprised by notes of essence of red currant and plenty of earth character. The sleek, intense and equally delicious middleweight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the refreshing and more complex finish that is also mildly austere.—Allen Meadows, Burghound
Mid purple. There is clearly an extra level of fruit over and above the Marsannay. There is definitely more in the middle of the palate too with some bright cherry notes, and no peppers at the finish. Drink from 2025-2028. Tasted: November 2022.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
