The biodynamic and organic 2016 Guardiavigna is recognized by its elegant black label. The wine is based on Cabernet Franc, although past vintages had varying percentages of Merlot and Petit Verdot in the blend. The wine shows a very focused and linear quality with black fruit, pencil shaving and black olive. Intense ruby violet with a lot of radiance. Shows notes of cassis, blackberry and dark chocolate. Blooms nicely on the palate, salty, very well integrated tannin, fine-meshed, on the finish a lot of tobacco, somewhat cool impression.-Falstaff

Ripe mixed berries on the nose, together with an intriguing, kopi-luwak coffee note. Medium-to full-bodied with fine, well-integrated tannins and a long, fresh and brightly spiced finish.
